The “Lion’s Roar” Award was a District-wide visitation contest created by PDG Mary Klages when she was in office as District Governor, 1998-1999.
Every Lion in the District was encouraged to register for participation and records were kept separate from the regular visitation contest. The goal of the “Lion’s Roar” contest was to visit every club in the District within the year. As individuals completed the requirements, they were registered in the place of their completion. The announcement of the winners was recognized at the District 29-L Breakfast at the State Convention.
