Club History
The Mt. Olivet Lions Club was chartered on May 29, 1974 with 33 members. Charter Night was held August 10, 1974, at the Zion Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. 125 Lions and guests were in attendance. The keynote speaker was Lion PDG Hance Moffett of the West Milford, WV Lions Club.

Donald Showalter was the International Representative who helped start our club. The Elm Grove Lions sponsored us and PDG Robert Upton served as our Guiding Lion. Charter President was (PID) Fred Cole.

Our first fund raiser was a light bulb sale. Our first community activity was purchasing First Aid Kits for the Mt. Olivet, Sherrard, and Mozart Volunteer Fire Departments.
